Had a sci-fi idea playing around in my head. These characters were a by-product of that.
A big problem I have with coming up with big original concepts- is that I find it impossible to focus on them for long periods of time. I get distracted by somthing else (other ideas or characters)- or worse, I get bored of them entirely.
The journal comics are honestly the longest time I've ever spent on one project, probably because they're quick to do and there's always something new to talk about
